10 WAYS TO RECOGNIZE SICHR
This is a very common form of black magic (sichr), which is aimed at separation or creating disagreements between spouses, or at inciting hatred between two friends or partners.
Allah Almighty says:
"They followed what the Shaitans read in the reign of Suleiman. Suleiman was not an unbeliever. The unbelievers were the Shaitans, who taught people witchcraft. Also (the Jews followed) what was revealed to the two angels in Babylon — Harut and Marut. But neither of them taught anyone without saying, "Indeed, we are a temptation, so do not become an unbeliever." They taught them how to separate a husband from his wife. But they (sorcerers) cannot harm anyone without the permission of Allah. They learned things that did them harm and did not benefit them. They (the Jews) knew that whoever acquired (chose) this has no share (from the mercy of Allah) in eternal life. It is bad (witchcraft and unbelief) that they sold their souls for! If only they (only) knew!" (Surah Al-Bakara, 2:102).
It is reported from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah said:
"Truly, Iblis set his throne above the water, and then began to send his army. And the one closest to him from this army is the one who sows the greatest turmoil. One of them comes and says: "I did this and that." Iblis responds: "You didn't do anything!" Then another one comes and says: "I didn't leave a man until I separated him from his wife." Then Iblis brings him closer to himself and says, "How good you are." (Muslim)
Symptoms of Separation Witchcraft:
- A sudden change in attitude from love to hate.
- Exaggerating the causes of disputes between two people, even if they may be minor.
- A change in the mental image that a woman can imagine her husband to be. Or a change in the mental image that a man can imagine his wife to be; so that a man sees his wife in an ugly way, even if she was beautiful.
In fact, it is Shaitan who is entrusted with the task of performing this type of sichra; who appears to her husband in her person, but in an ugly form. For the same reason, a woman will see her husband in a terrible way.
According to Hafiz Ibn Qasir, the reason for the separation between two spouses through this sichr is that each of them seems to the other to be an ugly or ill-mannered person (Tafsir ibn Qasir: 1/144).
Sihr al-Mahabba/at-Tiwala (Love Spell)
The Messenger of Allah said:
"Incantation (ar-rukya), amulets (at-tama'im) and enchantment (at-tival) are polytheism" (Ahmad, 1/381).
According to ibn Asir, "at-tival" is a kind of sikh that makes a man love his wife. The reason why this type of sorcery was classified by the Prophet as an act of polytheism is that those who committed it believe that it produces the opposite effect to what Allah prescribed (an-Nihaya, 1/200).
I would like to emphasize that the ruqya (conversion) mentioned in the above—mentioned hadith is the one by which jinns and shaitans are asked for help and consists of acts classified as polytheism. However, according to scholars, the ruqya based on the Koran and legitimate Sharia prayers to Allah is legitimate. In Muslim's Sahih, it is reported that the Prophet said:
"There is no harm in using the hand as a remedy, provided that it does not consist of anything from polytheism."
Sihr at-Tahyil (False representation of objects)
Allah Almighty says:
"They (the sorcerers) They said, "O Musa! Either you (first) throw (your staff), or (first) we will throw." He (Musa) replied, "(You first) throw!" And when they threw (their ropes and staffs), they bewitched the people, frightened them, and performed great sorcery. We inspired Musa: "Throw down your staff!" And (just as he threw the staff, how) she (the snake) began to absorb their illusions. The truth was revealed, and the falsity of what they (the sorcerers) had done (their tricks and illusions) was revealed. They (Pharaoh and his nobles) were defeated there and returned inglorious. And then the sorcerers prostrated themselves. They (those who were unbelieving sorcerers in the morning) said: "We believe in the Lord of the Worlds, the Lord of Musa and Harun." (Surah Al-A'raf, 7:115-122)
"They (the sorcerers) They asked: "O Musa! (Choose) Will you throw (your staff) first, or will we throw (our staffs) first?" He (Musa) replied: "No, you throw!" (And the sorcerers threw.) And then it seemed to him that their ropes and staffs began to move from their sorcery." (Surah "Ta Ha", 20:65-66)
Symptoms:
- A resting object appears to the observer to be mobile, and a moving object appears to be at rest.
- A small object seems big to the observer, and a large one seems small.
- False representation of objects: under the influence of the magic of the sorcerers of the Pharaoh, ropes and rods appeared to the audience like real snakes.
Sihr al-Junun (Madness)
Kharija ibn as-Salt reports that his paternal uncle came to the Prophet and converted to Islam. On the way back, passing by a group of people, he saw among them a mad man chained up. The relatives of the patient turned to him: "We heard that your friend (the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came with kindness. Do you have anything with which to heal him?" He read the surah "al-Fatiha", after which he recovered. Then they gave him a hundred sheep. He went to the Messenger of Allah and reported what had happened, to which he said: "Have you said anything other than that?" He said, "No." He said: "Take them, for there are people who feed with the help of false hands, but you earned your living with the help of a true spell."
And another version says: "... and he cured him by reciting Surah al-Fatiha for three days, day and night. Every time he read it, he would collect saliva and spit on it."
Symptoms:
- Severe absent-mindedness and severe forgetfulness.
- Halting speech.
- Bulging eyes and visual impairment.
- Restlessness (restlessness).
- Inability to do one thing for a long time.
- Indifference to appearance.
- In severe cases, you can tell by the face of a madman that he does not know where he is going, and that he will probably sleep in abandoned places.
Sihr al-Humul (Lethargy)
How does this happen?:
Sahir (sorcerer/sorceress) sends a genie to the intended person, instructing him to settle in his brain and make him withdrawn and lonely. The jinn will do everything possible to complete the mission, and the symptoms of this sichra will manifest depending on the strength and weakness of the jinn who is assigned this task.
Symptoms:
- A love of solitude.
- Absolute isolation.
- Constant silence.
- Associativity.
- Absent-mindedness.
- Constant headaches.
- Calmness and constant lethargy.
Sihr al-Hawatif (Bad dreams and hearing voices)
Symptoms:
- The patient has nightmares.
- The patient dreams that someone is calling him.
- The patient hears voices talking to him when he wakes up, but cannot see where these voices are coming from.
- The patient hears a lot of whispering (al-waswas).
- The patient is very suspicious of his friends and relatives.
- The patient dreams about falling from a height.
- The patient has dreams in which animals are chasing him.
Sihr al-Marad (Illness)
Symptoms:
- Constant pain in one part of the body.
- Epilepsy.
- Paralysis of one area of the patient's body.
- Complete paralysis of the body.
- An inability in one of the senses.
Sihr an-Nazif (Bleeding after menstruation)
How is this achieved:
This type of witchcraft affects only women. The sorcerer sends a genie to the intended woman, and instructs him to cause her to bleed. To do this, the genie enters the woman's body and circulates through her veins and arteries with blood.
The Prophet has long warned about this phenomenon of circulation in the following legend:
"Shaitan circulates in the human body like blood" (Al-Bukhari, Fatah al-Bari, 4/282).
When the genie reaches a certain vein in a woman's womb, he stomps it so that the vein bleeds.
This fact was also pointed out by the Prophet when Hamna bint Jahsh asked for his opinion on the issue of bleeding outside the menstrual period, and he replied:
"Such bleeding is just one of Shaitan's stomps" (at-Tirmizi).
Therefore, according to both traditions, menstruation, which occurs outside its normal period, is one of the stomps of Shaitan on one of the veins of the womb.
According to Fiqh scholars, "an-nazif" refers to "al-istihada" (prolonged menstruation), and according to doctors, to bleeding.
According to ibn al-Asir, "al-istihada" means bleeding during normal menstruation. This bleeding may last for several months, and the amount of blood may be small or large.
The Sichr that prevents marriage
Here the genie has two options:
1. If he can get into a girl, then he will make her feel uncomfortable with any potential husband and thus refuse him.
2. If he cannot enter the girl, then he uses the sich of imagination, from the outside. As a result, the groom will see the girl in an ugly image under the influence of whispering djinn, as well as the girl.
Under the influence of this sichra and under the whispering of the jinn, the groom, who would initially have agreed to the marriage, refuses it after a few days without a valid reason.
In the case of a strong sikh, the groom, entering the house of his future wife, will feel very uncomfortable and will see darkness in front of him, as if he is in prison, and therefore will never return. During the action of this sichra, jinns can cause a girl to have a periodic headache.
Symptoms:
- Periodic headaches that persist despite taking medications.
- Severe chest tightness, especially between asr (afternoon prayer) and midnight.
- The patient sees a potential couple in an ugly image.
- Absent-mindedness.
- Anxiety during sleep.
- Periodic continuous abdominal pain.
- Pain in the lower back.
Witchcraft related to intimacy
As-sihr ar-rabt (erection problem during sexual intercourse), al-‘ajz al-jinsi (impotence) and az-zu'f al-jinsi (sexual weakness).
1. Ar-rabt al-‘Ajzal-jinsi (sexual disability/impotence):
A man affected by this type of witchcraft feels active and energetic about having sexual intercourse with his wife. His penis is even aroused while he is far from his wife. However, when he gets close to her, his penis contracts and he cannot have sexual intercourse. This means that a man cannot have sexual intercourse with his wife, regardless of whether he is far from her or nearby, since his penis is not capable of an erection.
2. Az-zu'f al-jinsi (sexual weakness):
A man can have sexual intercourse with his wife only after long periods of time. Sexual intercourse occurs only for a short time, after which the sexual organ loses its hardness.
3. Ar-rabt in women (sexual frigidity)
Just as a man suffers from ar-rabt (erectile dysfunction) and cannot have sexual intercourse with his wife, so a woman can also suffer from ar-rabt (frigidity).
There are several types of rabt in women:
- Rabt al-man’ (Obstruction):
It occurs when a woman prevents her husband from having sexual intercourse with her by tightly connecting her legs and preventing the sexual organ from entering the vagina. This reaction is automatic and beyond her control.
One young man, whose wife suffered from this kind of sichra, criticized his wife for her reaction, and she explained that it was beyond her control. One day she told him to put iron shackles between her legs to keep them at a distance from each other before intercourse. He did it, but to no avail. Alternatively, she told him to inject her with the drug if he wanted to have sexual intercourse with her. It worked, but only one partner benefited from it.
- Rabt at-taballud (Lack of sexual feelings):
The jinn, who are entrusted with the mission of sichra, are located in the center of sexual feeling in the brain of a woman and cause her to lose sexual feeling at the moment of sexual intercourse with her husband. As a result, she does not feel sexual pleasure and does not react to her husband's actions. Her body goes numb, even if her husband does what he wants with her. With this type of sichra, the glands do not secrete fluid that lubricates the vagina, and therefore sexual intercourse cannot be achieved.
- Rabt al-nazif (Bleeding during sexual intercourse):
It differs from Sichra an-Nazif in one aspect.
While bleeding during sexual intercourse is limited by the time of sexual intercourse, sihr an-nazif can last for several days. In this type of sichra, jinns cause severe bleeding in a woman during sexual intercourse with her husband and, thus, do not allow a man to have sexual intercourse with his wife.
Once, a man, being a soldier, said that whenever he comes home for the holidays, his wife bleeds as soon as he arrives home. The bleeding continued during the holiday period, which is about five days, but stopped as soon as he returned to work.
